Please contact the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) at (785) 625-5663 for chemical spills. If it is an emergency after hours, please dial 9-1-1. KDHE

4. What is the process to install an entrance on my property?

All entrances must be reviewed and approved by Ellis County. You may download the form, complete it, and submit it to the Planning and Zoning office, which is located at:

5. Who do I contact for a county road concern?

Contact the Public Works / Road and Bridge office at (785) 628-9455 to talk to a supervisor or our road foremen. You may also contact us through our Service Request Online Form.

6. Who do I contact for a control burn?

Please contact Dispatch at (785) 625-1011 prior to burning. At this point, Dispatch will determine if conditions are acceptable for a control burn.
