The Road and Bridge Division strives to effectively and efficiently maintain and improve Ellis County’s roads, bridges, signing, and drainage in order to provide quality transportation and public safety to county residents.

The Road and Bridge Division, as a county road unit system, is responsible for the county’s transportation infrastructure, which consists of:
1340 miles of asphalt, concrete, rock, and sand roads
More than 640 structural culverts
These encompass 900 square miles in Northwest Kansas and include unincorporated communities and rural residential subdivisions.
